For the research: Television and Cinema, as the denominator weapon of mass manipulation (From the restoring of the independence of the state, until the “Rose Revolution”) The case we research is the propaganda, which is the most powerful lever of the manipulation. It is the most important case for the past years in Georgia. That’s why we took the case for research. Television and Cinema, as the denominator weapon of mass manipulation (From the restoring of the independence of the state, until the “Rose Revolution)”. In the most cases TV and Cinema are not just the lever for direction, they mostly are the creators of ideology. In the world there is used six main direction of “political communication”.

Without TV and Cinema it is impossible to establish “polit. communication” in the modern world. Destroying Soviet State and its ideological machine caused the inevitability of changing the structure of public opinion, thoughts. In those complicated processes, Georgian TV and Cinema were determinant. By the years there is worked out several methods of sociological influence over the population. All of them were used in Georgia during the end of XX century and after. Earlier in 90th (presidency of Z. Gamsakhurdia), opposition used the methods known as “anonymous authority”, “classifier” and ext. Rulers contrasted the same and finally in several months, this “propaganda struggle”, which in literature is known as “boomerang effect”, caused civil war in Tbilisi.

Considering newest history, we do not have to forgot the technologies used before “Rose Revolution” (2003). It was well planed propaganda, which prepared “decisive fight for Georgia” in the minds of the population. In this case rulers were TV and Cinema as well. Due the years of TV & Cinema Propaganda, we have got extremely politicized and jealous society, but if we consider the history of other states, we have to have hope that one day Georgian “new democracy” will grow up and will use TV & Cinema for creating strong civil society. Due working over the research, there was published several publications over the case. TV and Cinema, as a lever for creation the new public opinion; Nazis theory of “Big Lie”, Soviet “Half Truth” and “Circuitous Way” of the Cold War period; The First Trial of Mental Revolution in Post-Soviet Georgia; Creating Problem – what society has to think about (On the base of the “Chapel Hill Stusy”1968y) – those are the numerous issues, which are discussed and analyzed in the research.

The most important case is The First Trial of Mental Revolution in Post-Soviet Georgia. Here we can give small theses on the issue:  The main aim of the first president of Georgia was, to get rid people of the soviet mentality. For the President ZviadGamsakhurdia wasn’t enough just to declare independence of the state. The leader of the national-liberation movement was expecting danger from foreign as well as from internal enemies. Against the “Red Intelligence” (that is the term how z. Gamsakhurdia named the most part of popular and high authority Georgian celebrities, among them were also journalists who were working on state TV broadcaster),the head of supreme council and after the first president of Georgia, decided to put in motion
