Tangible Interactive and His Method of Use in Contemporary Georgian Theatre

The theater itself is meant to be interactive. A theater does not exist without a spectator. There are two forms of relationship with the viewer. The fi rst is a trunk, the second is directly interactive. During the Soviet Union, Soviet theater was not used for direct interaction. There were still cases in the Soviet theater of crossing the highway. Direct interaction used Georgian directors: Kote marjaniSvili, Mikheil Tumanishvili, Medea Kuchikhidze and others. In the 90s of the twentieth century experiments started in the Georgian theater. Theater free from censorship and contemporary Georgian theatre stared research new forms. This period is interested, but Georgian stage directors started make free performances.

Interesting any Georgian directors works. For example: Sandro mRevlishvili, Avtandil Varsimashvili, Giorgi Sikharulidze and others. Giorgi Sikharulidze make new theatre space named „The Theatre of changes “. Direct interactive used Michael Marmarinos in Tumanishvili Film actors theatre. Interactive like Georgain directors: Data Tavadze, Mikheil Charkviani, Guram Matskhonashvili... This research Tell us about it more on the Tangible interactive and his method of use in contemporary Georgian theatre.

Writings represent intellectual property of individual researchers developed in partnership with research and educational institutions.

Therefore, platform collects Master and PhD theses, monographs and other types of academic writings developed in partnership with research institutions; also, articles published in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.

The Project is the extension of „Contemporary Art Archive – Tbilisi“ and is supported by International Education Center Alumni Association.

The archive was restored in 2026. Abstracts and full texts are being added gradually.
